ZESCO Ndola Girls Primed for Historic Debut in CAF Women’s Champions League Qualifiers

The final whistle has blown on training. The stage is set. ZESCO Ndola Girls are ready to make history as they prepare for their inaugural appearance in the CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA Qualifiers 2025.
The Zambian champions wrapped up their final preparations at UJ Stadium in Johannesburg, building towards their opening Group A clash against Namibia’s Beauties FC this Friday at 12h00. It’s a battle of two debutants, both hungry to announce themselves on the continental scene.
ZESCO arrives with a formidable reputation, fresh off a dominant, unbeaten domestic season (31 wins, 3 draws in 34 matches) that saw them dethrone former champions Green Buffaloes. Now, they aim to follow in Buffaloes’ footsteps by becoming only the second Zambian club to compete in these qualifiers and ultimately clinch the title.
Drawn in a challenging Group A, ZESCO will face:
Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa – 2022 Finalists)
Beauties FC (Namibia)
Ntopwa FC (Malawi)
