ZESCO Ndola Girls Announce Five New Signings

ZESCO Ndola Girls have unveiled five new signings as the defending champions strengthen their squad in their bid to retain the ZPL Women’s Super Division title and position themselves for success at continental level.

The new arrivals are goalkeeper Chitete Munsaka, Botswana international Lesego Radiakanyo, striker Edith Phiri, Congolese defender Alphonsine Kankonde and striker Cecillia Malambo.

Munsaka joins from Elite Ladies, while Radiakanyo arrives from Gaborone United Ladies.

Phiri joins as a free agent, having previously featured for Indeni Roses, while Kankonde makes the move from Congolese giants TP Mazembe. Malambo completes the list after joining from Western Province outfit Nangweshi Pirates.

The five signings are expected to add depth and competition across key positions as ZESCO Ndola Girls seek to maintain their strong start to the season and defend their league title.

Club chief executive officer Kennedy Chiyombwe said the new players will add value to the squad.

“We are confident that these players will add value to the team. They bring different qualities and experience that will strengthen the squad as we work towards retaining the league title and achieving greater success at continental level,” Mr Chiyombwe said.
