Zambia’s Futsal Team Lands In Ghana For Crucial AFCON Qualifier
The Zambia Futsal National Team has touched down in Accra, marking their arrival in Ghana for a crucial final qualifying showdown.
The squad landed at Kotoka International Airport via Ethiopian Airlines at 14:00 hours local time, where they were formally welcomed by a delegation from the Ghana Football Association and Zambia’s Deputy High Commissioner to Ghana, Albert Mateyo Chifita.
Following their arrival in the capital, the team immediately continued their journey to the match venue. The delegation embarked on a three-hour road trip to Cape Coast, where they have now settled into their base at Pempamsie Hotel. There, they will finalize their preparations ahead of Tuesday’s decisive first leg.
The upcoming match, scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2026, will see Zambia face the host nation, Ghana, in the first leg of the final qualifying round for the Morocco 2026 AFCON Futsal Championship.
This fixture represents a pivotal step for both teams as they compete for a coveted spot in the continental tournament.
