Zambia Under-20 National Football Team Boys Profile
The Zambia national under-20 football team, commonly referred to as the Junior Chipolopolo (in reference to the senior team’s nickname “Chipolopolo” or “Copper Bullets”), represents Zambia in U-20 international competitions.
In 2007, the team secured fourth place in the African Youth Championship, a finish that earned them qualification for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Their World Cup campaign ended with a knockout-stage defeat to Nigeria, a nation that has won the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations a record five times.
More recently, the Zambia U-20 side claimed the 2022 COSAFA U-20 Cup, triumphing in the tournament hosted in eSwatini.
