Zambia to Lock Horns with Argentina in International Friendly

The Chipolopolo Boys are set for an exciting challenge as they prepare to face the world champion Argentina in an international friendly match on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the iconic La Bombonera stadium in Buenos Aires.

The Argentine Football Association (AFA) officially confirmed the fixture on their website and social media, stating that Lionel Scaloni’s team will take on Zambia in their second friendly of the March FIFA international window, with kick-off at 8:15 PM local time.

This match forms part of Argentina’s preparations ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, following their earlier friendly against Mauritania on March 27 at the same venue.

While the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has not yet issued an official statement on the matchup, Zambia had previously confirmed their involvement in the Botswana Four Nations Tournament, scheduled from March 23 to 31, 2026, at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.
