Zambia Futsal Coach Cristoforetti Names Final AFCON 2026 Squad
Zambia Futsal National Team coach Andrea Cristoforetti has named his final 14-member squad for the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations Futsal tournament in Morocco.
Cristoforetti has maintained the core of the squad that helped Zambia qualify for the continental tournament, with the team set to compete in Group A alongside hosts Morocco, Libya and Algeria.
The ninth edition of the Futsal AFCON will be held from October 12 to 21, 2026, with Zambia beginning their campaign against Libya on October 12 at Salle Prince Moulay Abdellah in Rabat.
The Chipolopolo will then face hosts Morocco two days later at the same venue before completing their group-stage fixtures against Algeria on October 16 at Salle Ibn Yassine in Rabat.
Zambia will also have their sights set on securing a place at the FIFA Futsal World Cup, with the tournament providing an important opportunity for the team to compete against some of Africa’s leading futsal nations.

Wingers/Midfielders: Leevan Nyirenda (Lusaka Tigers), James Zulu, Royd Chishala, Francis Chinyama (all Lusaka Automotive), Patrick Mwila (Paramilitary FC), Charles Simbeye (NAPSA Stars FC).
Pivots: Wiseman Phiri, Patrick Banda (both Lusaka Automotive), Musa Chiwaya (Kafue Celtic).
