Nchanga Rangers Make Triple Signing Statement Ahead of New Season
6: Nchanga Rangers Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Andrew Phiri, Kouassi Koffi Igor and Timothy Mulopwe on long-term contracts as the Club continues to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.
Ivorian attacking midfielder Kouassi Koffi Igor and prolific striker Andrew Phiri join the Club as free agents, while exciting winger Timothy Mulopwe arrives on an outright permanent transfer from North Western Province FAZ Division One side Mushitala Football Club.
Kouassi was on the books of Togolese side Gomido FC, where he enjoyed an impressive campaign, registering (5) five goals and (9) nine assists. The creative midfielder is expected to strengthen the Club’s attacking options.
Goal poacher Andrew Phiri, returns to Zambian football after spells with Tanzania’s Singida Black Stars and Zimbabwean outfit Hardrock Football Club.
The prolific forward arrives with (4) four goals from his most recent campaign, bringing proven goalscoring ability, valuable experience and added attacking quality to the Nchanga Rangers squad.



The third signing, Timothy Mulopwe, is one of Zambia’s brightest young prospects. The winger scored fifteen (15) goals for Mushitala Football Club and earned his move after impressing the Rangers technical bench during the 2026 National League Playoffs.
Club President Eng. David Mukumbuta Mukelabai welcomed the trio to the club and expressed confidence in their ability to make an immediate impact. “We believe they will add the firepower, creativity, and quality needed to strengthen our attacking force as we pursue our objectives this season.”
