Kanyemba Unveils 36-Player Shortlist For FIFA World Cup For Zambia Women National Team U-17

The future is bright! Zambia’s U-17 Women’s National Team, the Copper Princesses, have officially kicked off their journey to the FIFA World Cup! With the tournament on the horizon, Coach Carol Kanyemba has called up a 36-player provisional squad for a local training camp starting this Sunday.

The squad is built on the rock-solid foundation of the talented core that secured Zambia’s historic back-to-back World Cup qualification. Leading the charge once more is captain Mercy Chipasula.

Pitted against Japan, New Zealand, and Paraguay in Group F, the team will ramp up their preparations with an international training camp before heading to Salé, Morocco. Their first match is set for October 19th against Paraguay.

Get ready to cheer them on as they prepare for their record-breaking third appearance on the world’s biggest stage!
