Copper Queens’ Evarine Katongo Signs with Israeli Club

Zambian midfield standout Evarine Susan Katongo is on the move again, this time bringing her talents to Israel’s top flight.

The Copper Queens star, 23, has secured a short-term loan to Hapoel Raanana Women’s Football Club from her longtime side, Green Buffaloes Women FC.

This latest jump overseas marks another purposeful stride in Katongo’s rising career a chance to sharpen her game in a competitive new league while staying firmly in the fold for the Zambian national team.

It’s more than a transfer; it’s a statement of intent from a player clearly building something special, one experience at a time.

Ra’anana Women’s Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of midfielder Averine Zossen Katongo to the team.

Averine (23) is a Zambian national team midfielder with 26 caps for the senior national team, including 18 starts. She was part of Zambia’s starting lineup at the most recent FIFA Women’s World Cup and also competed in the Olympic Games.

Averine joins us from the Zambian champions and will add speed and dynamism to our midfield. We wish Averine great success with the club.
