President Hakainde Hichilema Wishes The Copper Queens Good Luck
President Hakainde Hichilema has wished the Zambia women national football team good luck as they open their 2021 COSAFA Women’s Championship campaign against Eswatini this afternoon.
The Head of State H.E says he is hopeful that the Copper Queens will bring pride to Zambia by lifting the trophy.
President Hakainde Hichilema has also reiterated his administration’s determination to support all sports disciplines as they offer huge opportunity for jobs and income generation, especially for the youth.
President HICHILEMA has since called on business houses to partner with Government as a way to help young people realize their dreams.
This is according to a message posted on his Facebook page.
The Zambia Women National Team will this afternoon open their 2021 COSAFA Women’s Championship campaign against Eswatini.
The game that will be the second group C encounter kicks off at 15:30 hours at the Nelson Mandela University stadium as both teams seek a positive start.
The Copper Queens who had their best outing at the competition in 2019 where they finished as runners up to South Africa will be looking to get to finals of the competition again.
The Copper Queens will next face Namibia on the 3rd of October before rounding up their group fixture against Uganda on the 5th of October 2021.
