Kennedy Musonda Makes Impactful Return for Yanga
Zambian international striker Kennedy Musonda marked his comeback for Tanzanian club Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga) with a significant contribution in their crucial 2-1 victory over Mashujaa FC on Thursday.
Musonda, who recently showcased his talent for the Chipolopolo Boys against Tanzania and Morocco, started the rescheduled match for Yanga and played a pivotal role in securing the win. In the 87th minute, he provided a crucial assist that led to the team’s second goal, consolidating their lead and clinching three valuable points.
This victory holds particular importance for Yanga as they strive to defend their league title. Currently occupying the top spot in the table with 37 points, they maintain a six-point lead over second-placed Azam and sit eight points ahead of arch-rivals Simba SC, who have two games in hand.
