Kamoko Pleased with FIFA’s Grassroots Football Support

The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Joe Kamoko, has commended FIFA and the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) for their collaborative effort to promote grassroots football in schools.
Kamoko expressed confidence that this initiative would not only benefit local schools but also provide learners with exposure to international football experiences.

Speaking at the launch of the Football for Schools program in Lusaka, Kamoko, represented by Prisca Simukonda, the Ministry’s Director of Standards, Assessment, and Evaluation, emphasized that the program would inspire future learners to pursue football as a career.

In a related statement, FAZ General Secretary Rueben Kamanga affirmed the Association’s commitment to grassroots football, citing the establishment of various football academies across the country as evidence of this dedication.
