Kabwe Warriors Suffer Painful Home Defeat to Mutondo Stars

Kabwe Warriors, led by head coach Numba Mumamba, faced a disappointing home defeat against Mutondo Stars on Saturday. Mumamba described the loss as “painful” and admitted that the team has lost form, securing only one point from their last five games.

The Warriors, who were at the top of the table after a 3-0 home victory over Green Buffaloes on November 4th, have now slipped to the 8th position. Mumamba acknowledged Mutondo Stars’ superiority in the match and expressed disappointment in his team’s performance.

Despite having chances, Kabwe Warriors failed to convert them, leading to their defeat. Mumamba denied underestimating their opponents, emphasizing that it was simply not their day.

Looking ahead, Mumamba stressed the importance of preparing for the upcoming match against Nkana, recognizing it as another tough encounter. He expressed the need to psych the players for the challenge, with the objective of finishing in the top five bracket by the halfway mark to qualify for the ABSA Cup.
