Charles Haalubono, the coach of Zambia’s Under-20 Women’s team, has expressed confidence in his squad ahead of their 2024 World Cup qualifier against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

During a pre-match press conference, Haalubono conveyed that the team is in high spirits as they prepare for this crucial encounter.

He emphasized that the players are well aware of the threat posed by Congo, as both teams are vying to advance to the next round.

Sandra Makombele, the coach of the Democratic Republic of Congo, stated that her team’s primary objective is to secure a victory on the road.

While acknowledging Zambia’s strength, she expressed her team’s determination to progress to the next round and ultimately qualify for the World Cup.

Chitete Munsaka, the Under-20 Captain, made an appeal to football fans, urging them to show their support by filling the stadium during the upcoming match.
